Willkommen Greta

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Greta, and I came to Gewolbe from a small town in Lithuania called Rietavas, where I grew up and spent my childhood climbing trees, playing in a sandbox, and riding a bike. When I was 14, I started going to the youth center by myself. Every year, we had new ESC volunteers, much like I am now. They were always such nice, kind, open-minded, and inspiring people, which fascinated me. They came to a completely different country, a small, unknown town, and opened their hearts to people they didn't really know.

When I began my journey at the Rietavas open youth center, I knew that I wanted to use this opportunity to push myself out of my comfort zone and experience something new. The moment I stepped into Gewolbe, I knew that this decision was one of the best I had made in my life. In just a few weeks, I met so many wonderful, loving souls and completely fell in love with the streets, rivers, and people of Steyr, who made me feel like I was accepted in the community.

I am thrilled to be here and to share my time with youngsters, have fun, cook, and laugh together. I hope to create many beautiful memories and friendships during my stay and feel like a part of the wonderful Gewolbe family.
