Tipps for travelling to Vienna:
You can either take the WESTBAHN or ÖBB from Linz Main Station. Get your tickets in advance, that's cheaper. When travelling with ÖBB you can buy the ticket with "Wien Kernzone Stadtticket VOR 24 Stunden Wien" that's a 24h ticket for public transport in Vienna. You can also buy day or single tickets at the Underground station in Vienna.
In Vienna you either go by Underground and tram from Wien Westbahnhof or Wien Hbf.
If you already know which train you take to go home buy the return ticket also in advance.
